CAPE BRED STARS LINE UP FOR DUBAI CARNIVAL
One of the world’s great racing carnivals is set to start on Thursday. The Dubai World Cup Carnival kicks off at Meydan racetrack this week.

The Carnival, which ends on March 30th, culminates in the running of the $10 000 000 Dubai World Cup – with the running of the World Cup and seven other rich feature races.

As has become the custom in recent years, a number of well performed South African horses have been entered for the Carnival. This number includes the following top racehorses which were bred in the Cape:

Final Button (Moutonshoek)
Kavanagh (Wilgerbosdrift)
Nocturnal Affair (Sorrento)
Royal Ridge (Mr F Sharp)
Shea Shea (Klawervlei)
Soft Falling Rain (Highlands)
Star Empire (Messrs Muller, Ratner and Salzman)
Zanzamar (Danika Stud)

The Carnival has drawn 26 individual Gr1 winners from all over the globe, and promises to showcase some spectacular racing.
