Classic winner for World relative
Mauritzfontein Stud’s promising young sire Ideal World is out of a full-sister to the sire of Sunday’s QIPCO 1000 Guineas winner, Miss France.
Ideal World, a stakes winning son of the great sire Kingmambo, is out of champion racemare Banks Hill.
The latter, one of five Group/Grade One winners produced by Broodmare Of The Year Hasili, is a full-sister to former French 2000 Guineas runner up, and world leading sire, Dansili.
The latter was represented by his first British classic winner when Miss France won Sunday’s 1000 Guineas, Britain’s first classic race for 3yo fillies.
In winning the Group One contest, Miss France took her tally to three wins from five outings, and the Dansili filly is likely to be aimed at the French Oaks for next outing.
Her sire is one of the world’s best sires, and was Champion Sire in France in 2006. His 89 stakes winners include no fewer than 17 major Group/Grade One winners, and this tally includes the likes of Rail Link, Harbinger, Flintshire, Winsili and champion racemare Dank.
Ideal World, whose first crop are now 2, has made a promising start to his stud career. Already the sire of an eye catching winner in the form of Super Glue, Ideal World, himself a half-brother to French Group One winner Romantica, has been represented by just a handful of runners to date, but already four have either won or finished in the money.
