Moutonshoek Stud’s resident sire Mambo In Seattle enjoyed a notable double over this past weekend, when one of his winners included an impressive feature race winner.

The Ambiance Stud bred Mambonick gave her promising young sire yet another feature race winner when she landed the spoils in Saturday’s Listed Swallow Stakes at Turffontein.
One of two winners on the card for Mambo In Seattle, the filly, who had cost R140 000 at the 2014 National Sale, made it two wins in just four outings when defeating her stable mate Heaps Of Fun into second place.

Mambonick, who was making just her second start in a year, looks most progressive and is clearly a sophomore filly with a bright future ahead of her.
Trained by Sean Tarry (also a part-owner of the filly), Mambonick is out of the Var mare Herself.

Another smart looking filly sired by Mambo In Seattle is the Erico Verdonese trained Angel Of Light who scored a courageous win on Saturday.
The filly, who had been second on debut, went one better at just the second time of asking when scoring over 1160m and Angel Of Light looks another with a bright future ahead of her.
