First winner for Ideal World
Mauritzfontein Stud’s first season sire Ideal World was represented by his first winner when his 2yo son Super Glue broke his maiden impressively over 1450m at Turffontein on Sunday.
Third on debut to Gr3 winner Isphan, Super Glue was bred and owned by Mauritzfontein and trained by Robbie Sage.
His sire Ideal World has only been represented by a handful of runners, but already four of his offspring have either won or finished in the money.
A smart performer himself, Ideal World won four times in France. His victories included two Listed races, and he also ran second, to French Derby winner Vision D’Etat, in the G2 Prix Niel and fourth, to multiple Group One winner Twice Over, in the G2 Prix Eugene Adam.
Ideal World is one of over 80 stakes winners sired by French 2000 Guineas winner Kingmambo, whose star offspring include champions and classic winners El Condor Pasa, Russian Rhythm, Lemon Drop Kid, King’s Best, Henrythenavigator, Divine Proportions, Light Shift, and Rule Of Law.
Kingmambo’s top sire sons include champion sires King’s Best and King Kamehameha, as well as the very successful Lemon Drop Kid, and promising young stallion Thewayyouare.
Ideal World is out of former Eclipse Champion, and Breeders Cup winner Banks Hill, and Ideal World numbers the Group One winning filly Romantica (by Galileo) as a half-sister.
His dam, Banks Hill, is one of five Grade One winners produced by Listed winner and Broodmare Of The Year Hasili.
Banks Hill is an own sister to Champion Sire Dansili, and fellow Breeders Cup winner Interncontinental, as well as promising young Juddmonte sire Champs Elysees, and proven Gr1 sire Cacique.
This superb family is also responsible for US Champion and multiple Gr1 winner Leroidesanimaux (sire of Kentucky Derby/Dubai World Cup hero Animal Kingdom).
Ideal World has 13 yearlings on offer at the 2014 Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale, and his lots include colts out of Fillies Guineas winners Dog Rose and Remembrance, a half-sister to stakes winner Roman Wall, and a half-sister to high-class performer General Sherman.
