Impressive debut winner for Trippi
Drakenstein’s successful resident sire Trippi was represented by an eye catching debut winner at the Vaal on Thursday afternoon.

The cleverly named Trip Tease was well supported on debut, and was sent out a 22-10 favourite for a maiden plate over 1000m.

The 3yo gelding turned the race into a one horse event – waltzing home to win as he liked by 8.25 lengths.

Bred by Zandvliet Stud, Trip Tease was a R70 000 buy at the 2012 Emperors Palace National 2yo Sale – and he looks to have been a great buy at the price!
Out of the Complete Warrior mare Girlish, Trip Tease is from the family of high-class fillies Nobely Born and Legally Blonde.

His sire has a number of smart performers representing him this season, most notable the Grade One winner, and Equus nominee, For The Lads.
