Klawervlei Stud, South Africa’s Champion Breeders in 2013-2014, were active at the recently concluded Patinack Dispersal Sale in Australia last week.

The farm picked up the well performed broodmare prospect Pretty Pins for AUS $410 000.

A daughter of champion sire Pins, Pretty Pins is a half sister to the G1 Toorak Handicap winner Allez Wonder. The latter herself fetched AUS $750 000 at the same sale.

Pretty Pins herself was a high-class racemare, whose six victories included the G3 BRC Chairman’s Handicap.

This is also the family of champions Laisserfaire and Melbourne Cup winner Rainbird.

The Patinack Sale also saw a half sister to former South African champion Laisserfaire fetch AUS $700 000, while a pair of colts, both sired by Husson, out of former Equus Champion 3YO Filly Sun Classique fetch AUS$7,500 and AUS $165,000 respectively.

Dreams And Wishes, catalogued as lot , is a Galileo half sister to six stakes horses, including Laisserfaire. In foal to Black Caviar’s half brother All Too Hard, she was knocked to Strawberry Hill Stud.
