Mating plans have been announced for the dams of Mauritzfontein’s resident stallions Byword and Ideal World.
Former G1 Prince Of Wales’ Stakes winner Byword is one of three group winners produced by the Woodman mare Binche and the latter is set visit top class sprinter Bated Breath (by Dansili) in 2018.

Binche’s multiple G1 winning daughter Proviso (by Dansili) will visit outstanding sire Dubawi.

Byword’s stable mate, and bang in-form sire Ideal World is out of 2001 G1 Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf winner Banks Hill.

The latter has been pencilled in for a visit to Galileo’s champion son Ulysses (who stands his first season at stud this year) in 2018.

The resulting foal will be a three-parts sibling to the Galileo sired G1 Prix Jean Romanet winner Romantica. The latter in turn visits Cartier champion Kingman this year.

Byword will be represented by three yearlings on the 2018 Cape Yearling Sale, while Ideal World has a single lot on that sale.
