Klawervlei Stud’s G1 sire Seventh Rock has been enjoying a good run of success with his 2yos this season thus far, and the former Gold Medallion was at it again on Friday.
This time it was his daughter Elle Est Noire who made headlines when storming home on debut to post a seven and a half length win over 1200m –as tote favourite.
Trained by Yvette Bremner, and racing for Braam Van Huyssten, Hedley McGrath and Anthony Williams, Elle Est Noire was a R65 000 buy from the 2017 Klawervlei Farm Sale.
The Klawervlei Stud bred filly was the third juvenile winner since Saturday for Seventh Rock. The latter was previously responsible for Seventh Sea, who scored in open company on Tuesday, as well as Saturday’s two and a quarter length juvenile winner Rock Of Asia.
Seventh Rock has now been represented by six two-year-old winners this season, including Klawervlei Farm Sale graduate Three Stars.
A proven sire, whose best offspring include champion Seventh Plain and Tsogo Sun Gold Medallion winner Guiness, Seventh Rock is well represented at the 2018 Klawervlei Farm Sale.
The son of champions Rock Of Gibraltar and Ruby Clipper has 28 lots on this year’s sale, including a half-brother to CTS Million Dollar winner Illuminator (Lot 31) and a colt out of a G2 placed own sister to Equus Champion and young sire prospect Always In Charge (Lot 71).
Seventh Rock also has four lots on offer at the 2018 KZN Yearling Sale –including a colt from the family of Horse Of The Year Irish Flame (Lot 21) and a filly bred on the same cross as champion Seventh Plain (Lot 134).
