Klawervlei Stud’s exciting young stallion Captain Of All, recently crowned South Africa’s Champion First Crop Sire for 2018-2019, had an eye catching winner at Hollywoodbets Scottsville on Wednesday.
His first-crop, three-year-old daughter Rule Of Law made a winning official debut when the Ridgemont Highlands bred and owned filly scored a courageous neck win over 1200 metres.
Trained, like Captain Of All himself, by Dennis Drier, Rule Of Law was ridden to victory in Wednesday’s race by Sean Veale.
The filly’s only other previous racetrack outing had been in a barrier trial.
Rule Of Law is the winner to have emerged from former Equus Champion, and Klawervlei Farm Sale graduate, Captain Of All’s impressive first crop, with others including the stakes winners What You Are (Devon Air Stakes) and Captain Anne Bonny (East Cape Fillies Nursery), and the likes of Shango, Cartel Captain, Self Assured and Indy Go.
One of the best sprinters to have graced the South African tracks in recent times, the triple G1 winning Captain Of All is one of the very best sons of Klawervlei’s late, great sire Captain Al –whose latest top performers include the G1 winners Celtic Sea and Miss Florida –both of whom are leading Equus Award contenders.
