Double for in-form Querari

1st Nov 2017

Maine Chance Farms’ successful resident stallion Querari has enjoyed consistent success once again this season, and Oasis Dream’s G1 winning son had his umpteenth double yesterday.

Wonderwall

First of the Querari runners to score was his daughter Hoist The Mast, who picked up her third win when the Andre Nel trained mare scored over 1200m at Kenilworth.

Bred by La Plaisance, Hoist The Mast is from her sire’s very first crop, which also included G2 winner Cosmic Light, Merchants winner Kangaroo Jack and Oaks winner Solana.

Another from this crop is the very speedy mare Spring Wonder, who recorded her fifth career success with a facile two and a half length win over 1160m at Turffontein on Tuesday night.
Bred by Maine Chance Farms, Spring Wonder has now earned well over R450 000, and was runner up in the Listed Bauhinia Handicap in 2016.

Sire of talented 3yo, and G2 Joburg Spring Challenge winner Wonderwall (a runner in Saturday’s R2 500 000 Emperors Palace Ready To Run Cup), Querari has already 20 winning 3yos to his credit, with his sophomore black type performers including Dahlia Plate winner Joking. Other promising 3yos for Querari include Spring Breeze and Galactic Warrior, runners in Saturday’s G3 Princess Charlene Starling Stakes and G3 Graham Beck Stakes respectively.

Quasillo

His G3 winning half-brother, Quasillo (by Sea The Stars), has been standing his first season at Klipdrif this year, while Querari’s G2 Canadian Stakes winning half-sister Quidura promises to be one of the star lots at the upcoming Fasig Tipton November Sale.

Responsible for stakes winners in each of his three crops to race thus far, Querari has three lots on this month’s CTS Ready To Run Sale.
