Highlands Stud’s outstanding sire Dynasty is no stranger to siring outstanding G1 winning fillies. His list of high-class daughters includes such Equus Champions as Beach Beauty, Bela-Bela, Just Sensual and Lady In Black, as well as G1 Woolavington 2000 heroine Lady Of The House, and Fillies Guineas winners Alexis and Smiling Blue Eyes.
The four times Equus Outstanding Stallion had yet another pair of impressive looking daughters win in South Africa this past weekend.
First to score was the Justin Snaith trained Dynamic Diana, who romped home to beat older rivals over a mile at Durbanville on Saturday. In the process, the filly took her record to two wins from just four outings, and Dynamic Diana, who has been first or second in all four of her starts, looks yet another smart prospect for her outstanding sire.
Bred by Highlands Stud, the regally bred 3yo is out of the A P Indy mare Super Singer and she was a R650 000 purchase from the 2016 Cape Premier Yearling Sale.
Dynasty is also responsible for the unbeaten 3yo filly Hashtagyolo, with that Varsfontein Stud bred miss trouncing a smart field in Sunday’s KZN Fillies Guineas Trial at Greyville.
Like her sire, Hashtagyolo is trained by Dean Kannemeyer, and she took her record to two wins from as many outings with a convincing 1.75 length win in Sunday’s mile race.
She had previously won on debut by four lengths and Hashtagyolo looks a very smart filly indeed.
A R1 100 000 purchase from the 2016 National Yearling Sale, Hashtagyolo is out of the Jallad mare My Guiding Star and is thus bred on the same cross as G1 winners It’s My Turn (Cape Derby) and Eyes Wide Open (Premiers Champion Stakes).
Dynasty’s unbeaten, G1 winning daughter Lady In Black is a leading contender for Saturday’s G2 Western Cape Fillies Championship –can she continue the great success Dynasty fillies have already enjoyed this season?
Dynasty has five lots on offer at next month’s CTS Ready To Run Sale, including a colt out of champion All Is Secret (Lot 5) and a half-sister to Nursery winner Sergeant Hardy (Lot 62).
