Dynasty son nominated to Hong Kong International features

26th Oct 2017

Highlands Stud’s outstanding stallion Dynasty is the sire of former G1 Cape Guineas third Nassa, who has been nominated to several of the rich Hong Kong international races in December.

Just Sensual

Bred by Wilgerbosdrift, and formerly in the care of trainer Brett Crawford, Nassa has been nominated for both the G1 Hong Kong Mile (run for a purse of HK$23 000 000) and the G1 Hong Kong Cup over 2000 metres.

Now in the care of former South African champion trainer Tony Millard, Nassa won or placed in five of his six outings, finishing third in both the G1 Cape Guineas (to Noah From Goa) and G2 Selangor Cup.

Nassa’s outstanding sire Dynasty, sire of last season’s Equus Champions Just Sensual and Lady In Black, also looks set to be strongly represented in many upcoming local graded features.
The sire of 13 G1 winners (and counting!), Dynasty will be represented by unbeaten G1 Thekwini Stakes winner Lady In Black in Saturday’s G2 Western Cape Fillies Championship while his son Kilrain is a runner in the R1 000 000 Charity Mile a week from Saturday.

Lady In Black

Another son, Barrack Street, is currently high up on the log for the 2017 Lanzerac Ready To Run Stakes.

Named Equus Outstanding Stallion on four occasions, Dynasty is also responsible for four potential Summer Cup starters.

The sire of three sons named Horse Of The Year, Dynasty has five 2yos on the 2017 CTS Ready To Run Sale, including a colt out of multiple G1 winning champion All Is Secret (Lot 5).
