Eighth first crop winner for What A Winter

12th Jun 2017

Triple Equus Champion What A Winter was represented by his eighth first crop winner when his son Snow Boarding won over 1160m at Turffontein on Sunday.

Bred by Dr Ian Sanne, Snow Boarding romped home to post a convincing 1.7 length win for trainer Tony Nassif.
He has now won or been placed in four of five outings and Snow Boarding looks unlikely to stop here!

Snow Boarding is the eighth first crop winner for four time G1 winner What A Winter, who is currently South Africa’s Leading First Crop Sire by prize money, individual winners and stakes winners.

What A Winter has already three stakes winners to his credit, headed by G3 Cape Of Good Hope Nursery winner Dutch Philip –a winner of four of his five outings to date and currently the most accomplished 2yo colt racing in the Cape.

His sire is the covering sire on six lots at Friday’s Mares, Weanlings & Fillies For Stud Select Sale, and has a filly on offer at this weekend’s Klawervlei Farm Sale.

What A Winter also has nine lots on offer at the end of the month’s KNZ Yearling Sale.
