Twist Of Fate, who was Master Of My Fate’s very first winner, became his talented sire’s very first black type winner when he scored an impressive victory in the Listed Somerset 1200 over 1200m this weekend.
The Favour Stud bred colt made it win number three, from five outings, when carrying top weight of 60kgs to an eye catching neck victory in the R125 000 feature.
Twist Of Fate, yet to finish out of the money, is now likely to contest the G1 Tsogo Sun Gold Medallion at Scottsville at the end of the month.
The 2018 Somerset 1200 winner is one of five first crop winners, thus far, to represent G2 Premier Trophy/G2 Peninsula Handicap hero Master Of My Fate.
Others representing the Varsfontein Stud resident include feature race contender Goliath Heron, debut winner Master Keys, and Kuda Sprint contender Lucky Dancer.
Master Of My Fate, whose half-sister My Guiding Star is dam of unbeaten G3 Flamboyant Stakes winner Hashtagyolo, enjoyed notable success at the recent Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale.
His yearlings made up to R900 000, with two other Master Of My Fate sired lots making R600 000 apiece.
