Flower Alley relative wins again

3rd May 2020

Well bred filly Rambling Alley, whose dam is a half-sister to Wilgerbosdrift’s well performed stallion Flower Alley, picked up her second win when victorious at Kyoto racecourse on Sunday.

A lightly raced daughter of Deep Impact, the consistent four-year-old Rambling Alley drew clear to land the Tadasunomori Tokubetsu (1800m) by two and a half lengths.

Third previously in the Flower Cup, the consistent Rambling Alley has now won or placed in six of only eight starts.

Her dam Blooming Alley, who won four and ran third in the G2 Sankei Sports Sho Flora Stakes, is a Symboli Kris S half-sister to three G1 winners -notably G1 Travers Stakes winner, and successful sire, Flower Alley.

The latter, whose progeny include Kentucky Derby winning champion I’ll Have Another as well as the G1 winning dam of current standout Lucky Lilac, made a pleasing start with his first South African crop including unbeaten colt Alibi Guy, G1 Wilgerbosdrift SA Fillies Classic runner up Marygold, Ormonde Ferraris Oaks Trial winner Fayrooz and G3 Fillies Mile runner up Keep Smiling.

From the same family as the hugely influential sire and broodmare sire Lyphard, Flower Alley has 18 lots on offer at this year’s Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale.
