Klawervlei Stud’s inform sire Twice Over had a good day on Friday, when the former European champion supplied a pair of winners.
It was a smart result for Twice Over, with the four time G1 winner represented by just three runners on Friday’s card.
Twice Over’s first success on Friday came when his three-year-old daughter Bridesmaid Blues romped home to shed her maiden by two and three quarter lengths over 1400m.
Under jockey Chase Maujean, the Klawervlei Stud bred Bridesmaid Blues pulled clear to win impressively, with third place finisher Flying Colours beaten six lengths.
Out of the Saumarez mare Page Girl, the Grant Paddock trained filly has won or placed in each of her last three starts.
Twice Over’s second winner on Friday came when his gelded son Duology scored over 1400m for trainer Yvette Bremner and jockey Wayne Agrella.
Also bred by Klawervlei, Duology is out of the Darshaan mare Novelette.
A dual winner of the G1 Emirates Airline Champion Stakes, Twice Over’s notable representatives this season include G3 Heineken Chairman’s Cup winner Doublemint and CTS 1200 hero Invidia.
Twice Over, whose first crop produced reigning South African Horse Of The Year Do It Again and G1 winning two-year-old Sand And Sea, had yearlings make up to R775 000 at the 2020 Cape Premier Yearling Sale.
