Gitano Hernando brother wins again

11th Dec 2017

Velvet Revolution, a half-brother to The Alchemy’s G1 winning sire Gitano Hernando, made it two wins from his last three starts when landing a handicap at Wolverhampton on Saturday.
A four-year-old gelded son of Pivotal, Velvet Revolution has now won four, and placed three times, from 14 outings.

He is out of Perugino’s high-class daughter Gino’s Spirits, whose nine wins included the G3 Noble Damsel Handicap.

Like Gitano Hernando, Velvet Revolution is trained by Marco Botti.

The flashy Gitano Hernando was a top-class globetrotting racehorse, who earned more than $2 000 000.
His biggest wins came when downing a stellar field in the 2009 G1 Goodwood Stakes and G1 Singapore Airlines International Cup of 2011.

Gitano Hernando’s first crop included Winter Oaks winner Whose That Girl, who takes her place in Saturday’s G3 Sunshine Sweepstake Victress Stakes.
