Ideal World well represented in Saturday features

2nd Nov 2017

Mauritzfontein’s successful resident sire Ideal World has been enjoying another good run of success with his runners scoring all over the country this season.

At the time of writing, Ideal World is higher up on the sires list than such prominent stallions Western Winter, Fort Wood, Twice Over and Visionaire.

The son of Kingmambo’s solid strike rate could well continue this weekend. Remarkably, Ideal World has no fewer than five feature race contenders at Turffontein this Saturday. His contingent of feature race hopes include a pair of runners in Saturday’s principal feature the R1 000 000 Peermont Emperors Palace Charity Mile.

Ideal World’s runners for the prestigious Gauteng feature include Equus Champion Hermoso Mundo, as well as Grand Heritage winner Irish Pride, who finished fourth in the 2016 Charity Mile.

The sire of champion Smart Call (who holds an entry in the G1 Hong Kong Cup in December), Ideal World is also responsible for two runners in this weekend’s G3 Graham Beck Stakes. That 1400m contest will see Ideal World sons Zen Arcade (a winner of two of his three races) and Ideal Secret face off against some of Gauteng’s most promising three-year-olds.

Ideal World’s uber tough and game daughter Patchit Up Baby, who has earned over R670 000 in prize money , will also face off in feature race company this Saturday when she lines up in the G3 Yellowwood Handicap.

By outstanding sire Kingmambo out of Breeders’ Cup winning champion Banks Hill, Ideal World is also responsible for the progressive four-year-old Speed Of Africa, runner up in the Listed Woolavington Handicap and a leading contender for some of the big Cape Summer features.
