Highlands Stud’s resident stallion Dynasty has a truly exceptional crop of 3yos representing him this season and the former Horse Of The Year was represented by yet another smart looking sophomore at Scottsville on Wednesday.

This time it was Dynasty’s daughter Queen’s Plain who caught the eye, with the Duncan Howells trained filly making a smart winning debut over 1400m.
Despite having a poor draw to overcome, Queen’s Plain proved simply too classy for her opponents as she went on to win first time out by two lengths.
The filly, who was produced by the Spectrum mare Russet Savannah, was a R1 000 000 buy from the 2016 Emperors Palace Select Yearling Sale.
Dynasty, voted last season’s Equus Outstanding Stallion (it was a fourth time that he has won this award), looks on course for another great season in 2017-2018, with his potential stars this season including Equus Champion 2YO Filly of last season Lady In Black, G1 Premiers Champion Stakes hero Eyes Wide Open, brilliant debut winners Greek Fire, Noble Secret and Sir David Baird and G3 Protea Stakes winner of last season Barrack Street.
His triple G1 winning son Jackson, whose first crop fetched up to R2 million last season, will be represented by his first runners this season.
