Highlands Stud part of Ridgemont’s triple G1 winning young sire Jackson was represented by an eye catching debut winner on Friday.
His newly turned 3yo first crop daughter Nifty Fifty justified 2-1 tote favouritism when she scored a facile 1.25 length win over 1300m at Fairview for trainer Alan Greeff and jockey Greg Cheyne.

Bred by Carl and Amanda De Vos, Nifty Fifty is out of the Caesour mare Between The Covers.
She is the sixth first crop winner for Jackson, whose other promising first crop runners including G1 Thekwini Stakes third Can You Feel It, debut winner Bonaire, and Cape Nursery third Mr Crumford.
Jackson, whose numerous high-class relatives include promising, and unbeaten 2YO stakes winner Speedy Soul, was an exceptional racehorse and one of the best of his generation.
The son of four times Equus Outstanding Stallion Dynasty, Jackson won or placed in 12 of his 17 races and banked R2 366 255 in stakes.

His trio of G1 victories included all of the Investec Cape Derby, Daily News 2000 and Champions Cup, with Jackson downing dual Horse Of The Year Variety Club in the Derby, subsequent Champion First Crop sire Pomodoro in the Daily News, and Cape Derby hero Bravura (among others) in the Champions Cup.
A half or full-brother to the graded stakes winners Heartland and Jade Bay, Jackson is out of the winning Moonlit Prairie, whose sire Cozzene is broodmare sire of outstanding sire/broodmare sire Pivotal (whose 28 individual G1 winners include 2018 G1 Qatar Sussex Stakes winner Lightning Spear).
He is from the same family as breeding shaping US champion sire Smart Strike and successful stallions Sky Classic, Sail From Seattle and Strike Smartly –to name but a few.
