Varsfontein Stud’s inform sire Master Of My Fate has been firing on all cylinders of late, with his progeny winning all over the country, and the handsome son of Jet Master made more news at the Vaal racecourse on Thursday.
His two-year-old daughter Miss Elegance put up a dazzling performance to land a juvenile plate for fillies (1400m) by seven and a quarter lengths on debut.
Under Philasande Mxoli, the Lucky Houdalakis trained filly simply drew further and further clear of her chasing rivals before drawing off to win as she liked.
Bred and owned by Peter Van Schoor, Miss Elegance is the fourth juvenile winner this season thus far for former G2 Premier Trophy/G2 Peninsula Handicap winner Master Of My Fate.
The latter is also responsible for fellow 2yo debut winners Tempting Fate and Zarina this season.
From the same family as this season’s top class 2yo Erik The Red , Master Of My Fate has made the perfect start to his stud career, with his first crop headed by Guineas winning millionaire Twist Of Fate, and his second by G2 SA Fillies Nursery winner Basadi Faith and G1 WSB Cape Fillies Guineas/G1 Cartier Paddock Stakes runner up Driving Miss Daisy.
