Moutonshoek’s resident sire Mambo In Seattle has been enjoying a steady stream of winners of late, and the blue blooded son of Kingmambo had two more impressive winners over the weekend.

Mambo In Seattle is the sire of the very talented Avontuur bred Mambo Mime, who bounced back to winning ways at Kenilworth this past Saturday.
Trained by Dean Kannemeyer, and steered to victory by the very much in-form MJ Byleveld, Mambo Mime overpowered a field which included Derby winners Cape Speed and Mr Winsome to post his fourth career win in a MR 102 handicap over 1800 metres.
Mambo Mime, who has overcome both thrombosis and a colic operation in his career, was one of the best 3yos of his generation when victorious in the G3 Byerley Turk of 2016 (he also placed in both the G1 Daily News 2000 and G2 Canon Guineas that year), and he has contested both the G1 Vodacom Durban July and G1 Sun Met previously. Fifth previously to unbeaten stablemate Last Winter, Mambo Mime has now earned nearly R700 000 in stakes.

Mambo In Seattle is also sire of the impressive Majestic Mambo, who looked an exciting prospect when romping home first time out at Turffontein on Sunday.
Bred by Moutonshoek, and trained by Paul Peter, Majestic Mambo defied coltish behaviour before hand to romp to a 5.5 length debut win over 1800m and he looks above average.
Majestic Mambo, bred on the same cross as Mambo In Seattle’s graded winners Fortune Fella and Desert Rhythm, is out of the Al Mufti mare Regal Classic.
