Boland Stud will be offering a regally bred filly by hot young sire Master Of My Fate at the 2018 KZN Yearling Sale.

The beautiful filly  (Lot 230) on offer is out of the winning Captain Al mare Light Blue, a half-sister to Listed Scarlet Lady runner up Euphoria.

Second dam, by champion sire and multiple champion broodmare sire Northern Guest, is a full-sister to the Brett Crawford trained Gr.1 J&B Met winner Angus and half-sister to Golden Slipper winner Dignify-herself dam of six time stakes winner Distinguished. Third dam Nobely Known is a Gr.3 placed half-sister to top class 2yo and Guineas winner Highborn.

Champion sire, and multiple champion sire of 2yos, Captain Al is enjoying considerable success as a broodmare sire and his daughters have already produced such G1 winners as Same Jurisdiction, Gunner and Potent Power.

Master Of My Fate, sire of this well bred bay, was a top-class racehorse whose six wins, from just eight starts, included both the Gr.2 Premier Trophy and Gr.2 Peninsula Handicap.

The handsome bay, son of champions Jet Master and Promisefrommyheart, has made a superb start with his first 2yos this season.
Despite himself never racing at two, Master Of My Fate has already five first crop winners to his name, headed by Joey Ramsden’s impressive Listed Somerset 1200 winner Twist Of Fate. Other smart winners by the son of Jet Master include Gr.1 Gold Medallion fourth Goliath Heron and debut winner Master Keys.

This success has also carried over into the sales ring, with Master Of My Fate yearlings fetching up to R900 000 at the recent Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale (top price being paid for a filly out of a daughter of Captain Al!).

This filly is bred on a similar cross to the one that produced six time Gr.1 winners JJ The Jet Plain, three time Gr.1 winner Yorker, multiple Gr.1 winner Pomodoro, In The Fast Lane, Thunder dance and Gr.1 winner Little Miss Magic.
