The Varsfontein Stud based Master Of My Fate has a very smart crop of two-year-olds this season, and the former G2 Premier Trophy/G2 Peninsula Handicap winner looks to have come up with another exciting juvenile in the form of Maledimo.
The latter, a filly bred by Lammerskraal Stud, made an eye catching winning debut at Turffontein on Saturday afternoon.
Despite racing green, the Geoff Woodruff trained Maledimo flew up late, under jockey Gavin Lerena, to make a winning debut and score by a length and a quarter over 1160 metres.
Out of the stakes placed Western Winter Maxixe, Maledimo was a R300 000 buy from the 2019 National Sale.
She is the eighth two-year-old winner for Master Of My Fate this season, with the Jet Master sire also responsible for unbeaten G3 Godolphin Barb Stakes winner Tempting Fate and impressive debut winner Fast Love.
From the same family as this season’s star two-year-old Erik The Red, Master Of My Fate has 19 lots on offer at this year’s Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale.
