Varsfontein Stud’s red hot resident sire Master Of My Fate enjoyed yet another big payday at Kenilworth racecourse on Saturday when his top-class daughter Pretty Betty captured the G3 Goals And Gallops Final Fling Stakes (1800m) in front running fashion.
The Mike Stewart trained three-year-old made it back to back feature race wins, and five wins in a row, with a comprehensive win.
Under Louis Mxothwa, the Peter De Beyer bred Pretty Betty kept galloping resolutely out in front and stayed to win impressively by three and a quarter lengths.
The filly has now won five of just eight starts, having captured the Listed www.caperacing.co.za Ladies Mile at her previous start.
Out of the Captain Al mare Betty Burke, Pretty Betty is bred on the same Master Of My Fate/Captain Al across as short-lived G2 SA Fillies Nursery winner Basadi Faith.
The filly is a member of Master Of My Fate’s exceptional crop of three-year-olds, with this crop including a trio of G1 winners namely champion Tempting Fate and recent G1 Jonsson Workwear Garden Province Stakes winner Zarina.
