Varsfontein Stud’s hugely promising young stallion Master Of My Fate was represented by his ninth first crop winner when his 2yo son Masterful made a winning debut over 1200m at Fairview on Friday.

Produced by the Victory Moon mare Pure Glamour, Masterful races for his breeder.

The colt is a ninth first crop winner for G2 Peninsula Hcp/G2 Premier Trophy winner Master Of My Fate, whose earlier winners include Listed Somerset 1200 hero Twist Of Fate.

A son of seven times champion sire Jet Master and fellow Equus Champion Promisefrommyheart, Master Of My Fate will be represented by the aforementioned Twist Of Fate in the G1 Premiers Champion Stakes at Greyville this Saturday.

The regally bred Master Of My Fate, South Africa’s Leading First Crop Sire by winners, will be represented by 18 lots at the 2018 National Two Year Old Sale, with Master Of My Fate’s two-year-olds including relatives to such notable gallopers as Captain’s Gal, Dutch Philip, Captain Al, Thunder Dance, Mythical Flight,  In The Fast Lane, and Dancer’s Daughter.
