Pathfork sibling to star at Keeneland

10th Aug 2017

A half-brother to Highlands Stud’s successful resident sire Pathfork is one of a stellar group of yearlings set to feature in day one of the 2017 Keeneland September Yearling Sale next month.
A son of Claiborne Farm’s outstanding stallion War Front, this colt (lot 109) is out of the stakes winning Sadler’s Wells mare Visions Of Clarity.

Pathfork

The latter, herself a half-sister to G1 Breeders’ Cup Mile winner and successful sire Spinning World,  has produced five winners to date, headed by the stakes winners Tacticus and Pathfork.

This is also the family of champions Rags To Riches, El Gran Senor and Peeping Fawn (dam of 2017 Chesham Stakes winner September) as well as leading sires Northern Guest, Redoute’s Choice and Try My Best.

Visions Of Clarity is also granddam of this season’s British stakes winner Buying Trouble, who holds an entry for Saturday’s Listed Dick Hern Stakes at Haydock.

Irish Champion Two-Year-Old Colt of 2010, Pathfork was unbeaten in three outings at two, when his victories included the G1 boylesports.com Vincent O’Brien National Stakes, beating G1 Racing Post Trophy winner Casamento.

Redoute’s Choice

Since retiring to stud, the son of Distorted Humor has been represented by a flood of smart performers, including brilliant G3 Godolphin Barb Stakes winner Red Chesnut Road and last season’s debut feature race winner Precious Pansy.
Pathfork, who was represented by eight 2yo winners in South Africa last season, has eight lots on offer at next week’s National Two Year Old Sale.
