Querari, Quasillo sister goes in E P Taylor

12th Oct 2017

Quidura, the talented half-sister to Cape sires Querari and Quasillo, is one of nine fillies and mares set to do battle in Sunday’s G1 E P Taylor Stakes at Woodbine.

Querari

A daughter of Dubawi, Quidura’s eight rivals include G1 Pretty Polly Stakes winner Nezwaah, G2 Betfred Middleton Stakes heroine Blond Me, and G3 Snow Fairy Stakes winner Rain Goddess.

Trainer Graham Motion said of Quidura, “They had very high expectations of her in Germany when came to me. They thought very highly of her. She hasn’t done a whole lot wrong since she’s been with me, really.”

Quidura, facile winner of the G2 Canadian Stakes last time out, has finished no worse than third since making a winning US debut last September.
The four-year-old has won or placed in seven of her eight outings and has banked just under $500 000 in prize money. Quidura’s placed efforts this year include a runner up finish, beaten a head, in the G1 Diana Stakes.

Quasillo

Her half brother Querari was in the news recently as sire of G2 Joburg Spring Challenge winner Wonderwall, while Quasillo is a son of Sea The Stars, responsible for the 850 000 guineas sales topper at the recent Tattersalls October Yearling Book 2 Sale.
