Klawervlei’s proven G1 sire Seventh Rock has been enjoying the crest of a wave this week, with all four of his runners to race having won!
Seventh Rock’s tally of four winners this week include two impressive juvenile winners both of whom scored first time out.
Seventh Rock’s 2yo Rockin Russian got the ball rolling when she made a stylish winning debut for champion trainer Sean Tarry on Tuesday and just two days later, Seventh Rock and Tarry once again teamed up with an impressive debut winner.
This time it was the turn of Seventh Rock son Keanan’s Rock to oblige, with the S’Manga Khumalo ridden gelding duly obliging first time out when downing two well connected Australian bred juveniles. It was an impressive display from Keanan’s Rock, who was backed into 26-10 favouritism for Thursday’s 1200m contest and he looks sure to build on this debut win.
Owned by Chris Van Niekerk and Markus Jooste, the Klawervlei Stud Keanan’s Rock was a R270 000 buy from the 2016 Cape Premier Yearling Sale.
Seventh Rock, who shares his sire Rock Of Gibraltar with prominent first crop sire Society Rock, has has 23 lots on offer at the upcoming Klawervlei Farm Sale, which takes place at Klawervlei on June 17th.
The former G1 Gold Medallion’s Farm Sale draft includes siblings to such high class performers as Jo’s Bond, Fortissima, and Lions Emblem, as well as yearlings out of high class racemares Captain’s Emblem, Main Emblem, and Miss Galilei.
