Lot 307 is a half-brother to no fewer than eight winners, including brilliant Singapore star Flax, who won ten times and earned more than $1 000 000. The South African bred Flax, who won from 1200m to 1800m, was an outstanding performer on his day, with his wins including the SIN G1 Raffles Cup, and he won or placed in eight major features.

Among Flax’s top efforts was a brilliant third to multiple G1 winner Chinchon in the 2012 G1 Singapore Airlines International Cup, where he accounted for major international G1 winners Zazou and California Memory.

Flax is a full brother to seven times stakes performer Silver Springs, and his dam is a winning Elliodor half-sister to Equus Champion 2yo Blossoming Fields , himself a triple G1 winner, and three other stakes horses.

Bejewelled Spring, the dam of lot 307, traces back directly in female to 1000 Guineas/Oaks winner Exhibitionist and this is also the family of US G1 winner and sire Mi Selecto.

The colt is sired by Equus Outstanding sire Judpot, an A P Indy half brother to French classic winners Kingmambo and East Of The Moon.

Among Judpot’s numerous high class performers are former Equus Champion and dual G1 winner Along Came Polly –whose dam is by Model Man, a son of lot 307’s broodmare sire Elliodor. This makes the colt bred on very similar lines to the R1.6 million plus earning Along Came Polly.

Other high class performers sired by Judpot include the G1 performers Forest Indigo, Juxatpose and Rocketball, Golden Slipper winner Final Judgement, G2 winning 2yo Colour Of Courage, and G2 winning millionaire Deputy Jud.

Broodmare sire Elliodor is one of the best broodmare sires of the modern era in South Africa and is damsire of champions/G1 winners Aslan, Cordocelli, Dog Wood, French Navy and recent Triple Crown winner Abashiri –among many others!
