Debut for One World
Drakenstein Stud’s sensational young sire One World came up with another smart prospect when his son Dreamworld made a winning debut at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth on Saturday.

Trained, like his sire, by Vaughan Marshall, Dreamworld was well supported for Saturday’s Equi-Feeds Maiden Juvenile Plate (1200m) with the colt starting at 15-10.
Under a confident ride from Sean Veale, Dreamworld hit the front someway from home, and the blue blooded two-year-old kept going gamely to score by three parts of a length.

Bred by Avontuur Thoroughbred Farm, Dreamworld is out of the Oasis Dream mare Dream De Ra.

Saturday’s winner has a Gimmethegreenlight half-brother on offer at the Premier Yearling Sale.

The colt was one of two winners for his sire on Saturday, with One World also the sire of Don’t Cry For Me, who romped home by more than four and a half lengths at Turffontein.

Dreamworld is the second two-year-old by One World to win on debut this season, with the sire’s Orbit scoring first time out in December.

South Africa’s Leading First Season Sire of 2023-2024, One World’s nine first crop black type horses are headed by this season’s G1 L’Ormarins King’s Plate/G1 Hollywoodbets Cape Guineas winner One Stripe.

One World has one lot on sale at the Cape Yearling Sale and 12 lots on offer at the Premier Yearling Sale.
