Moutonshoek’s well bred Galileo stallion The United States gained a further boost to his stellar pedigree when his close relative Camogie made an impressive winning debut at Saint-Cloud on Tuesday afternoon.
A three-year-old daughter of Invincible Spirit, Camogie pulled well clear to land Tuesday’s Prix Producer (1m21/2f) by four lengths.
The well bred Camogie was produced by the dual winning Hurricane Run mare Game Zone, who ran second in the G3 Prix Minerve.
Game Zone’s own dam Go Lovely Rose is a full-sister to G1 Coronation Stakes/G1 Prix du Moulin heroine Immortal Verse and a three-parts sister to The United States’ outstanding dam Beauty Is Truth.
The latter, winner of the G3 Prix d’Arenberg at two, has already produced a trio of G1 winners at stud, namely Hydrangea (Matron Stakes,British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes), Hermosa (1000 Guineas,Irish 1000 Guineas) and The United States.
A flashy, imposing chestnut, The United States won seven races, and earned over $2 000 000, including the G1 ATC Ranvet Stakes (a race also won by such champions as Veandercross, Better Loosen Up, Balmerino, Tulloch and Bernborough).
The United States, who shares his outstanding sire with such top stallions as Frankel, Teofilo and New Approach (as well as Global View -the current leading first crop sire in South Africa), has a single yearling on offer at this year’s National Sale.
