Drakenstein Stud’s four time G1 winning stallion Futura has been in a rich vein of form of late, and his son White Fang made it three in a row when scoring a convincing win at Turffontein on Saturday.
The three-year-old made much of the running in Saturday’s race, under a well judged ride from S’Manga Khumalo, to win decisively by over four lengths.
Trained by Michael and Adam Azzie, White Fang has now won three of just nine starts, with the gelding having won his three starts by an aggregate of over 15 lengths.
Bred by Drakenstein, White Fang holds an entry for the upcoming G3 Marshalls World Of Sport Gold Cup.
Out of the Trippi mare Beautiful Bird, White Fang is bred on the same Futura/Trippi cross as the stakes winners Sweet Future and Vihaan’s Pie.
Former Horse Of The Year Futura has had another excellent week, with White Fang his fourth South African winner in the past three days.
