Highlands Stud’s well performed young sire Potala Palace is related to a very promising KZN galloper in the form of Brighteyebushytail.
The latter, highly rated by trainer Duncan Howells, made it two wins from just three outings when scoring a good victory at Scottsville on Sunday afternoon.
He will now be put away and aimed at some bigger races later in the season.
A son of Dynasty, Brighteyebushytail, a R650 000 purchase from the 2016 Emperors Palace Select Yearling Sale, was bred by Highlands Stud.
His three time winning dam, Right And Ready, is a half-sister to the G1 winning sire Potala Palace.
The latter whose first crop race this season, won four times up to a mile including the G1 Premier’s Champion Stakes, beating subsequent sire sensation Gimmethegreenlight and fellow G1 winners Fighting Warrior and Master Plan.
The impeccably bred Potala Palace is the same family as breed shaping sires Fairy King, Nureyev, Reform and Sadler’s Wells.
