Two out of two for Ideal World gelding

20th Jan 2020

Mauritzfontein’s inform sire Ideal World looks to have another smart sort on his hands in the form of Worlds Your Oyster.

Rainbow Bridge

The latter made it win number two from as many starts when landing the eighth and final race at Kenilworth on Saturday afternoon.
Bred by Klawervlei Stud, the Woodruff trained Worlds Your Oyster maintained his unbeaten record with a courageous three-parts of a win over 1200m.

Out of the Highest Honor mare Woodland Beauty, the three-year-old gelding had won on debut when victorious over 1200m back in December.

Worlds Your Oyster, ridden to victory on Saturday by Keagan De Melo, shares his inform sire Ideal World with this season’s stakes winners Vistula (G2 Joburg Spring F&M Challenge), Mount Laurel (G3 Three Troikas Stakes), and Cat Daddy (Algoa Cup).

Ideal World, whose Met winning son Rainbow Bridge is set to be ridden by legendary jockey Ryan Moore in the 2020 G1 Sun Met, has two yearlings on offer at the 2020 Cape Yearling Sale –a filly (Lot 77) whose dam is closely related to both Horse Of The Year Celtic Grove and the stakes placed dam of July winner Marinaresco, and a colt (Lot 180) from the family of Epsom Derby runner up Glacial Storm.
