The beautifully bred former Favour Stud sire, Harry Hall, has died. The well related son of Pivotal suffered a severe stroke last night and passed away earlier this morning.

Harry Hall, who had remarkable statistics from very small numbers, was set to stand his first season at Heversham Stud prior to his untimely passing.
A book of 40 mares had been booked to him, and Harry Hall managed to cover around 12 mares prior to his untimely passing.

He had remarkable AEPR statistics which saw Harry Hall take high ranking last season among the best stallions around.

Himself a multiple winner, who won or placed in 13 races, the Varsfontein Stud bred Harry Hall was represented by just four runners. Remarkably, three of those won with the other runner Olimpic Hall being placed twice.
His most notable winner thus far was the smart filly Favour’s Pride, a five time winner whose numerous stakes placings include a third in the G3 Man O’War Sprint-beating graded winners Red Chesnut Road, Ektifaa and Seattle Singer. She has earned in excess of R500 000 thus far.

By one of the world’s great sires in Pivotal (the latter’s 20 plus G1 winners include successful stallions Kyllachy and Siyouni), Harry Hall was produced by Jade Robbery mare Artistic Lady, whose siblings included the group winners Noble Rose (Park Hill Stakes) and Simeon (Sandown Classic Trial).

A direct descendant of the great mare Sirenia, Harry Hall’s numerous high class relatives included Melbourne Cup winner and champion Jeune, G1 Flamingo Stakes winner Talinum and New Zealand 2000 Guineas winner Atlante.
