Lammerskraal Stud’s inform sire Visionaire was back in the news this week, when a flashy chestnut colt by him topped Wednesday’s Ready To Run Sale, held at Summerhill Stud.
The sales topping Visionaire colt was knocked down to Bobbie Rajhuhan for R380 000.
He was produced by the winning Peintre Celebre mare Alkhansaa and has been named Reconnaissance.
Former leading first crop sire Visionaire has been enjoying a good spell with his recent winners including progressive sprinter The Thinker and promising 3yosTakingthepeace (who is prominent on the log for the 2017 Emperors Palace Ready To Run Cup) and Champenois (the latter runs in Saturday’s G2 Western Cape Fillies Championship).
The G1 King’s Bishop Stakes winner has three lots on offer at next month’s CTS Ready To Run Sale:
Lot 21 –a colt out of G2 Thekwini Stakes winner Bridal Paths
Lot 88 –a colt out of a winning Kahal daughter of Bridal Paths
Lot 121 –a half-brother to seven winners including G1 placed Sea Cottage Stakes winner Fenerbahce
