More Cape Success for Dynasty
Highlands Farm’s resident stallion, Dynasty, has been in fantastic form over the past ten days.  During that time, the former Horse of the Year, and July champion, has been represented by no fewer than eight individual winners.

This tally includes two feature race winners on Saturday, and a further hatrick at Kenilworth on Wednesday.

Saturday’s winners included De Kock (winner of the Gr2 Selangor Cup over three other Dynasty sons) and R500 000 earner Paddy O’Reilly, winner of the Listed Lanzerac Pinotage Pioneer Kenilworth Cup.

Dynasty’s Wednesday winners included the impressive first timer, Futura, who broke his maiden over 1200m for the red-hot Brett Crawford/Glen Hatt combination. Bred by Guy Murdoch, Futura was a R500 000 buy at the 2012 Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale.

The stallion’s other winners at Kenilworth mid-week were the Willem Englebrecht Jr bred Dustan, and the Normandy Stud bred Dynasty’s Pride.

Dynasty (Fort Wood – Blake’s Affair) is currently eighth on the general sires list, with his offspring have already earned over R2.3 this season.

His racetrack success has carried over to the sales ring. At the recent Cape Ready To Run Sale, when a daughter of Dynasty fetched R900 000. A colt by the stallion fetched R800 000 at the same sale.

Dynasty, whose offspring have earned in excess of R31 000 000, stands for a 2013 fee of R150 000.
