Oratorio son entered in Cox Plate
Military Attack, an outstanding son of Avontuur’s world-class young sire Oratorio, is one of 158 horses nominated for the 2013 W S Cox Plate – Australia’s premier WFA race.

Recently named Hong Kong’s Horse of the Year, Military Attack has enjoyed a fantastic year in 2013 – winning his last four starts. The gelding has won two of the world’s greatest racing prizes, the G1 Audemars Piguet QE II Cup and the G1 Singapore Airlines International Cup.
On both occasions, Military Attack conquered some of the world’s top gallopers. To date, the gelding has won seven races and earned over HK$ 29 000 000.

Among Military Attack’s potential rivals are such champions and Gr1 winners as It’s A Dundeel (AJC Derby), Atlantic Jewel (VRC 1000 Guineas), Waldpark (Deutsches Derby), Maxios (Prix d’Ispahan), and Super Cool (Australian Cup).

Another interesting contender is the Queen’s horse Carlton House – beaten favourite for the 2011 Investec Derby.

Oratorio is fully booked for his first South African season. The champion son of Danehill stands for a stud fee of R80 000.
