Rain’s brother set for Kenilworth debut
My Nephew Eric, a half-brother to unbeaten superstar Soft Falling Rain, is set to make his racecourse debut at Kenilworth this Saturday. The colt, who will be opposed by 11 rivals, contests the second race on the card, which is set to take place at 14:00.

Trained by Vaughan Marshall, My Nephew Eric will be partnered by M J Byleveld.

Vaughan is happy with the colt, and says, “He is doing very well and I am expecting a good run on Saturday.”
A R1 000 000 buy at the 2012 Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale, My Nephew Eric was bred by Highlands Farm.
He is a son of leading first crop sire Sail From Seattle, who was recently represented by his first stakes winner when Seattle Storm won the Listed East Cape Nursery.

His dam, the winning Giant’s Causeway mare Gardener’s Delight, is the dam of last season’s Equus Champion 2yo colt, Soft Falling Rain. The latter became the first 3yo ever to win the Gr2 Godolphin Mile on Dubai World Cup night, and is unbeaten in seven career outings.

My Nephew Eric is owned by Mr C Hui.
