Seventh winner for Seventh Rock

Seventh winner for Seventh Rock
Klawervlei Stud’s well performed young stallion Seventh Rock was represented by his seventh first crop winner when Classe Mondiale won as she liked at Scottsville on Wednesday afternoon.

The filly, who is from the in-form Paul Lafferty yard, simply blew her rivals away to record an emphatic, three length win over 1600m.
Bred by The Alchemy, Classe Mondiale, who is out of Rakeen mare Pink Tinge, has now won or placed in five of her six outings.

The filly was a R150 000 purchase from the 2013 Suncoast KZN Yearling Sale.

Seventh Rock, who is currently involved in a tight struggle with Lateral to win the first crop sires title, is one of three nominees for the  Cape Breeder Outstanding New Stallion Award. His first crop of 2yos include Equus Award nominee Guiness (winner of the Gr1 Tsogo Sun Medallion), as well as Seven Grand, runner up in the Listed Summer Juvenile Stakes.

A top-class performer himself, Seventh Rock won six races including the Gr1 Gold Medallion and Gr3 Tommy Hotspur Handicap. A son of world leading sire Rock Of Gibraltar, Seventh Rock is out of former champion racemare Ruby Clipper, whose ten wins included the Gr1 Allan Robertson Fillies Championship.

This is also the family of recent Gr1 Premier’s Champion Stakes winner Harry’s Son as well as 2012 Emperors Palace Ready To Run winner Rock Of Arts (a three parts brother to Seventh Rock).

Seventh Rock has three lots on offer at the 2014 Emperors Palace National 2YO Sale:

Lot 80 is a colt out of a four time winning sister to top sprinter The Boogieman, from the family of champion Fov’s Dancer

Lot 83 is a half-sister to 4 winners out of a stakes placed daughter of top Australian broodmare sire Success Express

Lot 215 is a half-brother to 2 winners including high-class sprinter Mr Black Tom
