Smart debut winner for Dynasty

Highlands’ outstanding sire Dynasty has been enjoying a purple patch of late, with his runners winning decent races all around South Africa.
Not only is the former Horse Of The Year responsible for 2016 G1 Investec Cape Derby winner It’s My Turn, but Dynasty is also responsible for recent stakes winning fillies Olma (G3 King’s Cup) and A Time To Dream (Listed Breeders Guineas).

Another Dynasty daughter caught the eye this weekend past. This time it was the Duncan Howells trained Skyfire, who made a smart winning debut when bolting up to win by two and a quarter lengths over 1200m at Scottsville on Sunday.

Skyfire, who is out of the Camden Park mare Sensational Secret, is one of a number of promising 3yos representing her sire this year.
Others include the above mentioned It’s My Turn and A Time To Dream, the exported G1 Grand Parade Cape Guineas third Nassa, G1 Maine Chance Farms Paddock Stakes third Bela-Bela, Saturday’s impressive winner Liege, and promising filly Noor.

Dynasty, whose yearlings have fetched up to R5.2 million, has an exceptional 13 strong draft on offer at April’s Emperors Palace Select Yearling Sale.
His yearlings on offer includes a filly out of G1 winner Fading Light (Lot 46), a full brother to high class stakes winner Taipan (Lot 47) a filly whose A P Indy sired dam is a half sister to Kentucky Derby winner Monarchos (Lot 116), a filly from the family of champions A P Indy, Duke Of Marmalade, Ruler Of The World and Summer Squall (Lot 153) and a colt out of stakes winner Sting Operation –whose dam is G1 winner Roxanne (Lot 175).
