Third winner for Ideal World
Mauritzfontein Stud’s promising and blue blooded young stallion Ideal World was represented by his third first crop winner at Turffontein on Sunday.
His son Amazing Strike broke his maiden in facile fashion, winning a maiden juvenile plate over 1450m by nearly six lengths.
Bred by Mauritzfontein, Amazing Strike is out of the smart Strike Smartly mare Bayard Crown, a dual winner and third in the Listed Stormsvlei Fillies Mile.
Previous winners for Ideal World were Super Glue and Looker, both of whom look well above average.
Ideal World has been represented by five first crop runners who have either won or finished in the money – and his progeny should only improve with time and distance.
It would be hard to find a stallion with a hotter pedigree than Ideal World. The stakes winning son of outstanding sire Kingmambo is out of a champion racemare (Banks Hill), and his second dam (Hasili) has produced no fewer than FIVE Grade/Group One winners.
Banks Hill, dam of Ideal World, is also a full-sister to world leading sire, and French 2000 Guineas runner up Dansili.
The latter, Champion Sire in France in 2006, was represented by his 18th Gr1 winner when his unbeaten 3yo daughter We Are won Sunday’s Prix Saint-Alary.
In doing so, We Are stamped herself a leading contender for the Prix de Diane (French Oaks) next month.
A truly exceptional sire (whose sons include Arc de Triomphe winner Rail Link and King George hero Harbinger), Dansili is also the sire of 2014 Qipco 1000 Guineas winner Miss France.
