Irish Champion, and G1 sire, Pathfork received yet another boost to his impressive pedigree when close relative Frankel Light captured the Listed Prix la Sorellina in France on Thursday.

The 3yo daughter of Frankel, who shares her G1 winning third dam Aviance with Pathfork, bettered a May 8 debut runner-up finish tackling one mile at Saint-Cloud when graduating over the same trip at Fontainebleau last time May 30, and duly obliged in this black-type bow.

Recovering from a sluggish exit to enjoy a soft lead until turning for home, she was shaken up when threatened approaching the quarter-mile marker and kept on resolutely under continued urging thereafter to register a career high in game fashion.

Frankel Light, a winner of two of just three outings, was produced by the Kingmambo mare Mambo Light –a stakes winner of three.

This is also the family of 2018 G1 Tattersalls Irish 2000 Guineas winner Romanised and 1996 Irish 2000 Guineas hero Spinning World.
