Variety Club for Champions Mile

Variety Club for Champions Mile
The Beaumont Stud bred superstar Variety Club is one of 14 selected runners for the HK Gr1 Champions Mile.
To be run at Sha Tin, the Champions Mile (worth HK$12 000 000) will take place on May 4th.

Variety Club, a dual Horse Of The Year in South Africa, will be opposed by some high-class opponents including triple Group One winner Gordon Lord Byron, Gr1 Dubai Duty Free fourth place finisher Mshawish, as well as Glorious Days and Gold-Fun, first and second in last year’s Gr1 Hong Kong Mile.

Variety Club, now with the Mike de Kock yard, won two of his three outings in Dubai, and comes into the Mile off a front running success in the Gr2 Godolphin Mile on Dubai World.

The son of leading sire Var has won 10 of his last 11 outings, and won 16 races in total.

One of six Grade One winners for Var to date, Variety Club is out of the Secret Prospector mare, La Massine.
