Weekend treble for Trippi

Weekend treble for Trippi
Drakenstein Stud’s resident stallion, Trippi, has been on a tremendous roll in recent weeks.
The son of End Sweep has been represented by a wave of impressive winners recently – and this continued with a cross continent treble over the weekend.

Trippi’s beautifully bred daughter Lanner Falcon took her record to three wins from just five outings when running out a brave winner over 1200m at Durbanville on Saturday.
The Mike Bass trained filly maybe aimed next at the Gr2 Fillies Championship, in a bid to acquire some valuable black type. The Drakenstein Stud bred Lanner Falcon is out of the French Deputy mare Hosta, and is thus a half-sister to US Grade 3 winner, Dynamic Host.

The sire then had a quick double in the United States when his son Megalith won over 1200m at Gulfstream Park on Saturday, and another son, Gourmet Dinner, landed an allowance race at Parx on Sunday.

The sire of 38 stakes winners, Trippi is well represented at both the Emperors Palace Ready To Run Sale and Cape Ready To Run. Trippi has 6 lots on offer on the Germiston sale, including a colt out of the well performed mare Escapology, and as well as a half-brother to the Grade One performer Predestination. The stallion also has a strong draft at the Cape sale, where his 13 lots on offer include a filly out of former Equus Champion Bold Ellinore, as well as a filly from the family of Kentucky Derby winner, and champion, Big Brown.

Trippi (End Sweep – Jealous Appeal) stands alongside Horse Chestnut, Philanthropist and What A Winter.
