Ridgemont Highlands’ outstanding stallion Dynasty was represented by his 62nd individual black type winner when his 3yo daughter Storm Destiny won the G3 Three Troikas Stakes at Turffontein on Sunday.

Bred by the Ascot Stud, and one of two graded stakes winners on the day for trainer Mike de Kock and jockey Gavin Lerena, Storm Destiny flew up from well off the pace to just snare Running Brave close to home in the 1400m feature, before going on to post a head victory in the R250 000 contest.
Storm Destiny, whose beaten rivals on Sunday included the Equus Champion Return Flight, took her tally of wins to three, from just six starts, and her earnings to R311 188.
A full-sister to Listed Memorial Mile winner Stormy Eclipse, Storm Destiny, who looks a real classic prospect, was a R500 000 buy from the 2017 National Yearling Sale.
She is one of several outstanding 3yos for her sire this season, with Dynasty’s other notable 3yos including the undefeated G1 WSB Cape Fillies Guineas winner Front And Centre and G2 Dingaans runner up Thanksgiving.
Storm Destiny’s red hot sire Dynasty, who has already four Equus Outstanding Stallion titles to his name, enjoyed another big weekend, with winners all over South Africa.

His champion daughter Lady In Black ran second in the G1 Cartier Paddock Stakes, for a second year running, while his promising 3yo son Belgarion took third in the G3 BMW Politician Stakes.
Another son of Dynasty, the Normandy Stud bred G G’s Dynasty, shed his maiden over 1400m when scoring for trainer Brett Crawford at Kenilworth on Saturday. Out of the Right Approach mare Genteel Approach, G G’s Dynasty was a R300 000 buy from the 2017 CTS Ready To Run Sale.
Dynasty, whose previous stars include the Horse Of The Year champions Futura, Irish Flame and Legislate, has ten lots on offer at the 2019 Cape Premier Yearling Sale.
