Mauritzfontein’s in-form stallion Ideal World is the sire of high-class 3yo filly Helen’s Ideal, who made it three wins in a row when she made all to win the Listed Stormsvlei Mile at Kenilworth on Saturday.
The Peter de Beyer bred (and part-owned) Helen’s Ideal stayed on gamely under jockey Donovan Dillon to land Saturday’s R150 000 feature (the second leg of the Winter Series for 3yo fillies) by 0.3 of a length over Breeders Guineas winner Star Fighter.

It was a second consecutive feature race win for Helen’s Ideal, who had previously won the first leg of the Winter Series when making all in the recent Listed Sweet Chestnut Stakes.
Out of the Fort Wood mare Tequila Blush, the progressive three-year-old has now won five of her ten starts for earnings over in excess of R300 000.
A three-parts sister to the Ideal World sired G3 Track And Ball Oaks winner Zante, Helen’s Ideal was one of two weekend winners this week for Ideal World, whose 3yo son Humour Me broke his maiden over 2000m at Turffontein on Sunday.
Ideal World, whose progeny also include recent G1 winners Rainbow Bridge and Samurai Warrior, also hails from a red-hot family.
His close relative Mirage Dancer (whose multiple G1 winning dam Heat Haze is a half-sister to Ideal World’s outstanding dam Banks Hill) captured the Listed Bet Your Way On The Betfair Exchange Tapster Stakes at Goodwood on Saturday. It was the second year in a row that the Frankel sired Mirage Dancer had won the Tapster Stakes, with his lastest win taking his earnings to close on £ 200 000.
Ideal World’s champion dam Banks Hill is a full-sister to pensioned champion sire Dansili, whose G1 winning son Zoffany is the sire of Sunday’s G2 German 1000 Guineas winner Main Edition.
The sire of nearly 40 black type performers (and counting!), Ideal World has five lots on offer at the 2019 KZN Yearling Sale.
