Ascot Stud’s resident Galileo horse Global View came up with an eye catching debut winner at Fairview on Friday.
Global View’s two-year-old daughter Holly’s View made a good impression with a smart first-out win on turf on Friday.
Under Greg Cheyne, the Alan Greeff trained filly powered home in the closing stages to get up and beat tote favourite, and Cape raider, Smith And Wesson, going away by three-parts of a length.
Another Global View two-year-old, Forest Spy, ran third -a length and a quarter off the winner.
Bred by Ascot, Holly’s View is out of the Fort Wood mare Holly Wood.
She is the second two-year-old winner for Global View this season, with the latter’s other notable two-year-olds of previous seasons including East Cape champion Global Drummer and Listed East Cape Fillies Nursery winner Sound Check.
South Africa’s Leading First Season Sire of 2019-2020, Global View has two lots on offer at the upcoming Cape Premier Yearling Sale, and a further five lots on the Cape Yearling Sale.
