Drakenstein Stud’s exciting young sire, and Equus Champion, One World had a pair of winners at Fairview on Friday.
The champion son of Captain Al was responsible for both the winners of the third and fourth races on Friday, with One World’s only other runner on the day, Pibe De Oro, finishing third in the second race at Fairview.

One World filly Penny’s World made much of the running to land Friday’s Play Soccer 6,10 and 13 Maiden Plate (F and M) (1200m) convincingly.
Under Luyolo Mxothwa, the four-year-old kept going strongly to win a shade cosily by a length.

Trained by Lunga Gila, the Braam Van Huyssteen bred Penny’s World is owned by Paul Barett.

Out of the Silvano mare Sugerpova, Penny’s World is bred on the same cross as dual G1 winner One Stripe.

One World’s second success on Friday came when his daughter Kings Again won the Racing240MR 80 Handicap (1000m).
Under S’Manga Khumalo, the Alan Greeff trained filly hit the front close home and went away to win by a length and a quarter.

Bred and owned by Braam Van Huyssteen, Kings Again was winning for the second time in six starts.

Her G1 Sun Met winning sire One World enjoyed a fine season in 2024-2025 and was South Africa’s Leading Second Season Sire for that season.
